Village Inn Pizza Family Restaurant
Village Inn was established by Earl W. DeSombre in 1978. It started with a simple menu of Pizza & Sub-Sandwiches. After the first two years, a char-co grill and chicken broaster were added and the current menu started to take shape.
In the early years, the business opened at 4pm in the afternoon with a late night closing time that extended to 1am on weekend nights. After a period of years a lunch hour was added.
In about 1983 the hours were increased to include the entire day from 11am to ?? (closing time varied from week days to weekends) Until 2011 when we started opening at 10:30am daily.
In 1985, a pizza delivery service known as the "Pizza Taxi" was added. The service ran for 28 years but was discontinued in August of 2013.
In 1980, Earl's son Tim started working in the restaurant. Tim started to take over running the business in 1992 and continues today.
Then in 2008 the adjacent corner gas station property was added to the Village Inn and a remodeling and expansion was started. The project was completed late in 2009. The expansion added about 60 seats, a small party room, a 6 stall parking lot & a patio area.
